Meet Dr Richard at a Glance

Dr Richard Hostiadi is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) with a focus on adult ADHD, men’s mental health and lifestyle medicine.

Before studying medicine, Richard worked as a Registered Nurse at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney across a range of clinical areas for several years.

Prior to becoming a doctor, Richard also worked in workers’ compensation, life insurance and disability claims. Together with his experience as a General Practitioner and Medical Officer in the Royal Australian Navy Reserve, this has given him valuable insight into occupational medicine, workplace health and the challenges faced by people in physically demanding and high-pressure occupations.

Areas of interest:

  • Adult ADHD assessments and ongoing management

  • Men’s mental health

  • Occupational health and ADHD in working adults, including professionals, tradespeople and shift workers

  • Lifestyle medicine to support long-term ADHD management

Outside medicine, Richard enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle and has completed multiple half marathons, full marathons, HYROX events, obstacle course races and the Everest Base Camp trek. He lives with his wife and two young boys and enjoys spending time with his family and their dog.
