Meet Dr Beth at a Glance
Dr Beth is a GP with a special interest in mental health, adult ADHD and women’s health. As a UQ graduate, she is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and brings a gentle, practical and thorough approach to ADHD assessment and care.
Beth is particularly interested in supporting adults who have managed for many years by masking, overcompensating or pushing through, often at the cost of exhaustion, anxiety, self-criticism or burnout. She has a strong interest in how ADHD can present in women, especially when symptoms have been missed, minimised or attributed to other causes.
In her consultations, Beth aims to create a space where patients feel heard, understood and taken seriously. She takes time to explore symptoms in the context of a person’s life, including work, study, relationships, parenting, sleep, emotional regulation and mental health.
Beth has worked across urban, rural and remote settings, which has shaped her interest in accessible and compassionate mental health care.
Her areas of interest include:
Adult ADHD in young adult and middle aged women
Late-identified and high-functioning ADHD presentations
Emotional regulation, self-esteem and relationship impacts of ADHD
