Getting to Know Canice Curtis a Bit Better

Curtis is a deeply attuned and compassionate Mental Health Social Worker who considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they navigate challenges and work towards meaningful change. His commitment to client care has led colleagues to nominate him for the AASW Social Worker of the Year Award.

He supports people aged 15+ experiencing complex trauma, dissociative conditions, addictions, personality disorders, bipolar disorder, ADHD, chronic pain, parenting and relationship difficulties, men’s mental health concerns, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and the mental health impacts of climate change and natural disasters.

With a background spanning international development, child protection, and academia, Curtis has found his home in therapeutic practice. He brings a grounded, integrated, and evidence-informed approach, tailoring treatment to each person’s needs.

Outside the therapy room, Curtis enjoys spending time with his young family, playing the drums, bushwalking, yoga, reading, and exploring Buddhist philosophy and mindfulness practices.
